We are incredibly proud to announce that Brookville High School senior Daelon Wackerman has been named a National Merit Scholarship Finalist!
This is a monumental milestone for Daelon and a historic moment for our district. Out of more than 1.3 million students who entered the competition, Daelon has advanced to this elite group of Finalists, representing less than 1% of high school seniors in the United States. The competition is now entering its final stage.
Daelon is now eligible for selection as one of approximately 6,870 Merit Scholarship winners chosen from a group of more than 15,000 Finalists nationwide. His journey to this honor reflects a consistent record of exceptional academic performance throughout grades 9–12, along with qualifying SAT or ACT scores that confirm his elite standing.
After graduation, Daelon plans to continue his academic journey at Liberty University. While his major is currently undecided, we know that his dedication to excellence and “The Brookville Way” will lead him to great success in whatever path he chooses.
